Neston Recreation Centre

CCEL commissioned a solar PV renewable energy installation on the roof of the centre in March 2020. It followed an almost identical installation at the Christleton Sports Centre, with the same equipment, layout and output. The sites are also similar in that the facilities are used by the public and the local high school.

The sports centre is operated by Brio Leisure and the building owned by CWAC. A lease agreement and power purchase agreement have been signed with CWAC. Genfit Ltd designed, procured and installed the panels which have a design life of 25 years. The commissioning of the panels was marked by a visit from Ellesmere Port MP Justin Madders and Louise Gittins, leader of Cheshire West and Chester Council.
