Chester Community Energy will be taking part in the Great Big Green Week Festival, Saturday 25th September, Grosvenor Park, Chester.

The lifetime energy generation of our three solar schemes is 302 MWh, which is 77 tonnes of CO2 emissions saved.
Chester Community Energy Ltd (CCEL) has recently awarded grants to local community groups from revenues received from its solar PV generating installations at Northgate Arena, Christleton Sports Centre and Neston Recreational Centre. So far we’ve saved the equivalent of roughly 70t CO2 emissions from our three solar PV schemes, equal to growing 1,000 tree saplings for 10 years. This doesn’t include the CO2 emissions avoided via our Community Benefit Fund, via LED efficient lighting in community buildings.
We’re really pleased to announce four more recipients of our Community Benefit Fund who share £5,000 to install energy efficient lighting, helping to reduce their bills and avoid CO2 emissions: Cheshire Halton and Warrington Race Equality Centre, Dodleston Village Foundation, Neuro Therapy Centre, Tarporley Community Centre.
